Levoit Core 200S air purifier - the small smart one
The Core 200S is the entry-level smart Levoit. CADR of 152 m³/h, covers up to 64 m², app and Alexa control. 32,000+ reviews at 4.5 stars, 900 bought last month. It's the one most people buy for a single bedroom.
Where it fits in the Levoit range
The Core 200S sits below the Core 300S and the Core 400S. Less powerful, smaller coverage, but cheaper and more compact. No air quality sensor on this model, so there's no auto mode that reacts to what's in the air. You set the speed manually or let Alexa do it on a schedule.
If you want the sensor and auto mode, the Core 300S is the next step up with a CADR of 258 m³/h. Our best air purifier for bedroom guide compares them directly for bedroom use.
Sleep mode
24 dB on sleep mode with the display off. That's the same as the rest of the Levoit range and quieter than most competitors. The display turns off completely, not just dimming, which matters if any light keeps you awake. Our quiet air purifier for sleeping roundup tested several models overnight.
App and voice control
VeSync app gives you fan speed, scheduling, timers, and filter life monitoring. Alexa and Google Home both work. Useful for turning it on before you get home or setting a schedule so it runs while you sleep and stops during the day.
No air quality readout in the app though, because there's no sensor. You're running it on trust or on a schedule. For some people that's fine. For others, the Core 300S is worth the extra.
Filtration
Same three-stage system as the rest of the range: pre-filter, H13 HEPA, activated carbon. Captures 99.97% of particles at 0.3 microns. Replacement filter is the Core 200S-RF, around £15-£25, every 6-8 months. Our air purifier electricity cost guide has the running cost maths.
Our HEPA filter air purifier article explains what H13 actually means if you're comparing filter grades.
Who it's for
Bedrooms under about 30 m² where you want two air changes per hour. Small home offices. A child's room. It's quiet, cheap to run, and the app means you don't have to get out of bed to change the settings. If your room is bigger or you want the purifier to think for itself, spend more on the 300S or 400S.
For hay fever and allergy sufferers, our best air purifier for allergies guide has the full comparison.
